Dario de Wet

Founding Partner

Dario bridges institutional, operational and investment expertise. He has invested into companies and funds at the earliest stages, teaches and enjoys contributing to the industry. He was recognised as one of the industry’s “40 Rising Stars under 40” by VCJ. 

Prior to founding LTV Capital, Dario co-led fund investments alongside Farhan, at Anthemis Group, a market-leading global fintech investor. During his tenure, he built and invested into early-stage fintech plays in partnership with BBVA before co-leading the development of a first-of-a-kind fund at the intersection of media and financial services. 

Before joining Anthemis, Dario was an early employee at emerging markets fintech JUMO, where he helped spearhead the company’s early international expansion efforts. Earlier, he was involved in the joint venture creation of Ringier One Africa Media (ROAM), which is now Africa’s largest classifieds group.

Dario holds a Master of Business Science in Finance and a double undergraduate major, in Business Science Finance & Accounting (FCA) from the University of Cape Town. His dissertation, “Tencent Holdings Limited: An IPO Case Study,” was completed in record time, has been downloaded 10 000+ times and has been cited in numerous scholarly publications.

Outside of work, he is an ex-125cc motorcycle road racing champion. He is also an advisor to the Finetwork Mir Racing Team, supporting talented young racers competing in the JuniorGP series, on the road to the MotoGP World Championship.
